Rachelle Biderman: At Home in the Library
In 2018 my family and I were considering relocating, moving from the “big city,” to somewhere smaller, somewhere with character and a strong sense of community. We explored various small towns and our first stop was always the local library. I think a library often reflects the culture of the community it serves. When we walked through the doors of the Lisbon Library, we were greeted by a friendly staff, a creative and curious environment, and a magical children’s section. It was on that day we knew we were “home.” It’s a pleasure and an honor to be on the board of trustees, working with and for our community library.
